The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to sassa status Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
